A vehicle with remains inside that could possibly be connected to a 1994 Stockton missing person case was located last week in Sacramento County, police said Monday.

Stockton resident Arnel Nagal Narvaiz, 36 at the time of his disappearance, was last seen July 1, 1994 leaving for his work on a ranch in the Twin Cities Road area of Sacramento County.

Police said neither Narvaiz nor his vehicle were located since the disappearance occurred.

Adventures With Purpose, a professional group of scuba divers who search for missing people and their vehicles in water, posted a live video on YouTube over the weekend after finding a vehicle.

In the video the group said they were searching for an Elk Grove man when they found a beige 1988 Toyota Cressida matching the license plate number of Narvaiz's vehicle in a slough 31 feet underwater.

According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, Narvaiz was driving a vehicle with the same license plate and description of the car found by divers.

The Stockton Police Department said detectives notified the Narvaiz family of the discovery of the body and that DNA testing will be conducted to positively identify the remains.

Sacramento County will be conducting the autopsy.

Police said that the initial investigation has not uncovered any signs of foul play.

Last year Adventures with Purpose also found 24-year-old Stockton resident Jacob VanZant who was reported missing.

He was found submerged inside a vehicle at the end of Eight Mile Road.
